Curtis R. Anderson, O.D.

Dr. Anderson grew up in Junction City Kansas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas in 1975 and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston in 1979. He has practiced optometry in Lawrence since 1980. Dr. Anderson is a Member of the American Optometric Association and the Eye Care Council.

When not at the office, Dr. Anderson can be found watching the many KU sports teams or Royals baseball, playing golf, running, or spending time with his three grandchildren.



Jamie Kills Crow, O.D.

Dr. Jamie Kills Crow recently relocated to Lawrence from Denver Colorado. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2004 from NSU Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah Oklahoma, and her Bachelor Degree from Wichita State University in 1999. Dr. Kills Crow enjoys all aspects of practicing optometry ranging from fitting contact lenses to managing ocular disease.

When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She also plans on watching a lot of basketball here in Lawrence, as her husband will be the assistant coach for the men's team at Haskell Indian Nations University.



Debbie

Debbie has worked on and off for the practice since it opened at the current location in 1988. When not in the office she pursues her favorite activities of gardening, spending time with the five grandkids, and taking photos of flowers, butterflies and spiders in the garden, and especially the grandkids.



Janice

Janice has been working for Dr. Anderson for over a decade. A married, mother of three young children, she enjoys reading in her spare time.



Carolyn

If you've called in the last few years and detected a Louisiana accent, you have been speaking to Carolyn. Married and mother of three, she enjoys remodeling her home, shopping and cooking.



Darrel D. Smith, O.D.

Dr. Smith grew up in Eudora Kansas. He attended Emporia State College for one year before entering the U.S. Air Force. After four years in the service, he completed his pre-optometry requirements at Pittsburg State College, then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee. He then served in the Navy in an Orlando Florida hospital before returning to Lawrence where he practiced for over 30 years. Officially retired as of mid-March 2008, his future plans include spending time with his wife, four children and 13 grandchildren, traveling, and golfing no more often than twice a day.

 

Hours:
Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm

Our office closes from noon to 1:00pm for lunch.

Evening hours are available by appointment only and we can make special arrangements for people who need to come in later than 5pm to pick up glasses and contacts.

Our office is on the upper level of the Area One Building in the heart of Downtown Lawrence. We are in front of the city parking garage with free two-hour parking on the lower two levels.
